GGGGRRRRRR!!! The USCIS has put out a new fee schedule effective July 30th. We knew fees for the I600-A were going up (the form to bring an orphan into the U.S.), but what we were surprised to learn is that for people who's previous approval is expiring before travel, THEY'LL GET THEIR $545 FEE WAIVED FOR A RE-APPROVAL!! You know, that $545 THAT WE JUST PAID A FEW WEEKS AGO TO BEAT THE FEE INCEASE IN JUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Considering that, in our local office, you can just walk in with your home study update, fee & forms and get another approval on the spot, it really shouldn't cost another $545 anyway!!!
Crap, I suppose we won't be able to get a refund. Really really could've used that money for other things!
