Banana Belt? Seriously?

My Mom and step-dad are now in Washington. They really like it there despite the freak snow storm. This area of WA is known as the "banana belt" because it gets a lot more sunshine than Seattle. Apparently the day they got into town, it snowed. For my Mom, snow is a novelty, growing up in coastal CA towns. My step-dad grew up in snow, so he wasn't thrilled with the stuff.
Maybe they'll be able to live there 6 months, and 6 months here. She misses us already. Aw, we miss you, too, Mom!
Their RV isn't exactly a snow vehicle, but my step-dad was able to navigate safely to their campground.
Here is a picture of the view from their campsite. Beautiful!
